Supergel story
The SUPERGEL 28 adventure began in 2007 when Jean-Pierre Fakhoury decided to buy a refrigerated warehouse located in Nogent- sur-Eure near Chartres. At the time, SUPERGEL 28 did not process or pack meat or fish. The Eurelian company had just a few employees and annual sales of around €700,000.

Strong growth in France and abroad
As we are also producers, the quality of our products and methods is at the heart of our ambitions. At the same time, we are constantly striving to provide work and flexibility adapted to customer needs, at a totally competitive price. SUPERGEL 28’s development strategy was then launched. From a single cold storage business, the company expanded into 3 strategic areas of activity :
- Cold storage and dry storage
- Meat and fish packaging
- Elaborate product development (slicing, smoking, boning)
The activities complement each other perfectly. The creation of processing workshops and packaging lines ensures total fluidity and flexibility in the production and storage process, as well as rigorous traceability of the frozen product.
An international reflection
SUPERGEL has also focused on the international market, generating 50% of its sales abroad. Present in over 25 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, the SUPERGEL brand is now the company’s spearhead worldwide. The quality and availability of its products make SUPERGEL a highly sought-after brand, meeting the needs and expectations of consumers from all walks of life.
A company always on the watch
In 2010, SUPERGEL expanded its warehousing business with the acquisition of a set of refrigerated warehouses in Ballancourt/Essone (91) in the Paris region. The SUPERGEL 91 company was then created. SUPERGEL now offers its warehousing services just a stone’s throw from Paris and the Rungis market, on a fully renovated and functional site.
2010 is also the year of Exoticism, as the Nogent-based company has decided to structure its range of processed products and create a brand dedicated to this product line, aimed at African, Asian and West Indian communities in mainland France and French overseas departments and territories: SUPERGEL EXOTIC. Pork, poultry, beef and fish – smoked, darned or pickled – are just some of the products in our catalog. Our history
3 key dates :
Takeover of SUPERGEL 28 by Mr. Fakhoury, expansion of cold storage facilities with the construction of a new cold store, bringing the S28 site’s capacity to 15,000 pallet spaces in a controlled negative. Opening of packaging lines and processing workshops.
Acquisition of the former GEL2000 site at Ballancourt-sur-Essonne and creation of SUPERGEL 91. The warehouses are completely refurbished and have a total capacity of 9,000 pallet spaces in negative cold. A new negative platform with an order-picking station is built.
- Opening of 9 general food stores in Paris and Aubervilliers under the Africa Paris brand
- In-house fleet of 7 Supergel trucks and trailers
- Creation of a temporary employment agency, Autricum Sourcing, which employs nearly 200 temporary workers for the Supergel group and other companies in the food industry.
